NYFW Fall 2015 Recap: Zoya At Rolando Santana

Rolando Santana AW15

Designer: Rolando Santana

Nail Lead: Cinnamon Bowser

Colors: Custom Satin

Rolando Santana was inspired by 18th Century Europe for his Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection. Lead Manicurist, Cinnamon Bowser used Custom Satin that matched the beautiful fabrics used in the collection.

Zoya Creative Director, Rebecca Isa worked exclusively with Rolando Santana to create the custom shades for the show. The new Satin finish was matched to three prominent colors; teal (Dagmara), dusty purple (Antoinette) and green (Constance). The look of the show was designed to mimic the waist to hip line of the full skirted dresses in the collection. Start with 2 coats of Constance (green) and the sponge on layers of Zoya Nail Polish in Ziv and Zoya Nail Polish in Maria Luisa to mimic gold leafing.

The layers of both Ziv and Maria Luisa were sponged on in the shape of a narrow triangle with the tip pointing in the direction of the cuticle. The nail design coordinated perfectly with the beautiful hair and makeup looks creating wonderful symmetry with Rolando’s designs.

Greg Lauren AW15

Designer: Greg Lauren
Nail Lead: Cinnamon Bowser
Color: Naked Mani

The Greg Lauren Fall 2015 show featured the new Naked Manicure created by Zoya Creative Director, Rebecca Isa as brand new technology for those who want a more natural look. Greg wanted each models manicure to look like “the best version of their own natural nails.” Normally that would mean bare but why be bare when you can go naked. He loved the look of a perfected nail with a closest to natural satin finish. The end result was a clean bare, yet still finished looking, nail that was a perfect compliment to his fresh, eclectic style.
