Zoya is Safe for Mommas

If you or someone you know is pregnant, many tend to be very health conscious with good reason! In some products there are harmful chemicals that are not good for you or your baby. In nail polish there are common chemicals called formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate and toluene which have been known to cause issues for women and their babies. Zoya Nail Polish is proudly Big 10 Free, which is free of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Dibutl, Toluene, Camphor, TPHP, Parabens, Xylene, Ethyl, Tosylamide and Lead.

Self issued their top favorite pregnancy safe beauty products! Zoya made the list for the nail polish category. With over 500 colors available you will be sure to find your perfect go to shade for you manicure!

“Throughout my pregnancy and while I was breastfeeding, I was concerned about beauty product absorption of any kind that could affect my baby, even if it were to just be trace amounts. Feeling naked without my nails being painted, I chose to continue with my manicure routine but to use only 3-free nail polishes (formulas that contain no formaldehyde, toluene, or dibutyl phthalate) or 5-free ones. Zoya was my go-to brand along with Morgan Taylor. If I went to a salon for a manicure or pedicure, I would bring my own bottle.” –Julia DiNardo

Don’t feel bad getting that mani, your little ones are safe when using Zoya!

Safe Nail Polish to Buy Now

zoya_nail_polish_guestofaguestThis Earth Day, make the switch to a healthy and safe nail polish! Guest of a Guest shared 20 safe and stylish nail polish products to buy now with Zoya making the list! Why make the conscious decision to try a nail polish that is Big5Free? The formula is free of the five most harmful chemicals: ormaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene and Camphor.

“The toxic cocktail of ingredients like toluene, formaldehyde and camphor present in many polishes can cause cancer, damage the nervous system and be harmful to both reproductive organs and unborn babies, just to name a few.” – Guest of a Guest

Guest of a Guest also sat down with Zoya Creative Director, Rebecca Isa to learn more about these harmful chemicals and why it’s good to avoid them PLUS how to make your manicure last longer! When asked why other companies choose to keep those nasty chemicals in their formula, Rebecca responded:

“I am not sure why a company would choose to use these ingredients, however at one time they were commonplace. The growth of the industry and development of a more natural focus has led to a greater awareness of ingredients and modern chemistry allows us to replace [these] with equally effective, more benign choices.” – Rebecca Isa

Want to make your manicure last? Read more on Rebecca’s long lasting mani tips! Ready to make the switch to a healthy brand? You can now exchange your old, unwanted polish for new Zoya shades for a limited time! Learn more about the Earth Day Exchange here.
