Details:

The geometric prints of Nicole Miller’s Spring Summer 2017 collection were complemented by the patterned manicures on the models. With inspiration from the Panamanian heritage, the nails were mimicked from a traditional maze-like textile, Mola.nicolemiller_zoya_-nyfw_ss17_jkratochvil_2550_cropped_rgb_sm

How To:

Prep the nail by shaping, gently buffing and cleaning up cuticles. Begin by painting on coat of ZOYA Naked Manicure Base, and one coat of ZOYA Naked Manicure Pink Perfector. With a striping brush, paint two coats of a “+” cross in the center of the nail using Ireland. Be sure to place the striper brush back into Remove Plus in between colors and shake it to clean. Use the striper again, paint two coats of Ireland to trace the Arizona corners and the contours of the nail, leaving a small window to the natural nail. Allow to dry for a few minutes, then finish the manicure with a single coat of Naked Manicure Glossy Seal. Apply ZOYA Fast Drops to dry.

Manicures to Copy Now: Negative Space

zoya_Nail_polish_byrdie_marissawebb_aw16

The looks from New York Fashion Week AW16 are in, and one of the hottest trends is this “Out of the Box” look created by Celebrity manicurist, Miss Pop. Byrdie featured the look as part of their list for 11 Stunning Fashion Week Manicures You Can Copy Now.

The look was created for Marissa Webb AW16 using Naked Manicure Lavender Perfector as the base, followed by Zoya in Willa.

“Mega-talented manicurist Miss Pop Nails explains that the inspiration behind this nail look was “out of the box,” in the way that designer Marissa Webb is able to combine masculine and feminine styles. To create the look, one coat of Zoya Lavender Perfector was placed on the base of the nail. Once it dried, Miss Pop placed vinyl sticker bars on the nails (you can use tape for this) to create the center box. Then, over the tape, she painted two coats of Willa across the nail. Finally, she sealed everything off with Glossy Seal” -Byrdie

Details:
In order to complement Marissa Webb’s daring and fresh collection we chose a trendy negative space manicure. The drastic contrast of Willa with the model’s natural nail was made possible with the Naked Manicure™ Lavender Perfector, which fills ridges and corrects colors in minutes.

How To Nails:
First apply one coat of ZOYA Naked Manicure™ Lavender Perfector to enhance the natural nail glow and allow a couple of minutes for the base coat to set. Next lay a piece of 1/8” wide tape (vinyl sticker bars were used back stage) centered on the nail about ¾ way down to the cuticle. Then paint two coats of Willa, once one hand is finished pull the tape off all five fingers. Seal the top of the negative space box by swiping Willa straight across the tip of your nail. Put the finishing touch on the look with ZOYA Naked Manicure™ Glossy Seal.
